Public Cruises & Eco-Tours

Join us for a variety of cruise options during our cruise season from May - October.  Most of our tours are between 1.5 and 2 hours in length. Cruises have different themes based on the time of day and year. Most of our tours are kid-friendly or even kid-oriented, though we save a few of our cruises for our adult friends. See below for cruise descriptions, special events and our schedule. Group rates are also available.

Sunset cruiseS & events

Tradition 2-Hour Sunset Cruises feature light narration, informal chats with our crew and beautiful sunsets.  BYO refreshments.   

Special Events exist with unique dates and pricing.:

  • Pricing is dependent on the cruise. Traditional cruises start at $40/adult, Special events start at $25/adult.

midday ECO-CRUISEs 12:30-2:30pm

This narrated cruise covers nearly 20 miles of Cayuga shoreline and 300 years of history. Our narrators will focus on the interests of their audience and are happy to lead all-ages lake study activities for those interested. A great cruise for a picnic lunch!

  • $40/adult, $35 for students & seniors for 2 hour cruises

Mini-Eco Cruise (1.5 hrs)

Mornings, 10:00-11:30am & Afternoons 4:30-6:00pm.

A slightly shorter version of our 2 hour Eco-Cruise, with narration & optional, hands-on lake-study activities for kids and curious adults.

  • $20 for students & seniors

  • $50 family pack (2 adults, 3 kids)

The crew at Discover Cayuga Lake hosts over 1500 students on the lake  each year, and strives to  offer educational programs and public cruises that highlighting the close connections between Finger Lakes products, people, and natural resources.
